Ministries are like personal pursuits, in that they grow out of the unique personalities of people. At Open Door, we desire to see all our members pursuing a ministry that flows out of who each one is in Christ. Consequently, as a church, we will have a unique feel, just as families differ from families. This is part of God’s great “manifold” grace (1 Peter 4:10)! Moreover, as God sends us more unique individuals, or raises them up from the spiritual dead, we anticipate new ministries happening in the future. We also embrace our weakness as a church, knowing that no church grows beyond its need for other churches. Instead of envying each other, whether individually or as churches, we seek to rejoice in seeing Christ in each other. He is our boast (Galatians 2:20; 6:14), and He must drive all ministry.
